Thank you for your interest in my work. My preview page offers insights into some of the items that will be available for sale. My first online shop will open on Friday, November 22. You can find it listed on the top right side of my website's home page.
Each piece is handcrafted and designed for practical use. The clay I use is high-fired utilitarian stoneware, and the smaller items are microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. However, some items may be better suited for hand washing after use.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you again, and I hope you continue to return and follow the journey of Tony Borchardt Ceramics.

The bowls feature a white slip design on the interior, enhanced by various glaze combinations. Be sure to appreciate the characteristics of each bowl.
High-fired ceramic bowls, great for every use, especially ice cream! Microwave and dishwasher safe for daily use. Ask me about a commission for a full set or custom shapes and sizes.
Bowls
My handled trays are available in two sizes. The large tray measures approximately 16.5 inches in length, 7 inches in width, and 6 inches in height. The smaller version is 9 inches long, 6 inches wide, and 6 inches tall. Each tray is crafted from a combination of wheel-thrown and hand-built components. The top rim is wheel-thrown as a large ring, which is then cut into pieces and attached to a slab form that serves as the base. The handle is added as an oval ring. The entire piece is finished with a sure form to carve away clay, creating strong, linear edges. The interior features multiple glossy glazes that provide a smooth and colorful finish. These trays are designed for serving food. They can be used to create a centerpiece and are excellent for storing spices or other items.
Handled Tray

My favorite new item is the pickle tray. These trays measure about 12 inches long and 4 inches wide, with a wide variety of shapes. Each piece is slab-built, with no wheel-thrown components, which is unusual for me. I really enjoy making these. There will only be 5 available in the shop, so make sure to grab one quickly!

Vases
I will have five vases available. I truly enjoy the construction process of these pieces. Each vase is wheel-thrown and then cut into sections, similar to how I make my cups. After that, I cut the sections again to insert a bottom in the middle of the vase. This technique serves as an important inspiration for bridges, particularly those that span over water. Follow me on Instagram to see this process in video action.
Mugs
I love making mugs because they are both functional and beautiful. Each morning begins with selecting a cup for my morning coffee from my collection of handmade mugs. I hope one of my creations can become part of your daily routine. I will have 12 mugs available in my online shop, featuring a variety of colors and sizes. Each piece is carefully wheel-thrown, then sliced apart and reassembled. The texture offers an enjoyable tactile experience, with geometric designs that reflect important architectural concepts. My work is high-fired in a gas reduction kiln, making it safe for daily use in the microwave, oven, and dishwasher.
