Tony Borchardt Ceramics

Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Tony Borchardt, and I have been creating ceramic art for over thirty years. On this site, you can explore a wide variety of my clay works, which I also showcase at art fairs and exhibitions across the country. Additionally, I accept commissions, so if you have an idea for a clay piece, I would love to discuss it with you—I can help bring your vision to life. In Spring, I will begin to offer classes, private lessons, events, and workshops at my home studio in Florissant, MO. Please contact me and join my mailing list for up-to-date classes, workshops, exhibitions, and online sales. Please read more below and on my “About” page…

This is an intermediate course; prior experience working with clay is recommended.

    Functional Pots: $265

    Saturdays, 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.   May 16, 23, 30,  June 6, 13

This course will focus on demonstrations primarily on the potter’s wheel, with an emphasis on functional items such as pitchers, teapots, casseroles, pie plates, and tableware. Participants will receive 25 pounds of clay for this course, along with all glazes and materials needed to finish their pieces in a high-fired gas reduction kiln.

  • Ask me about renting high-fire kiln space in one of my gas reduction kilns.

What can I make for you? I specialize in functional utilitarian wares, but love the challenge of something totally out of the box. Let's find a way to make your ceramic vision come to life with a possible commission project.

  • My ceramic work will be for sale through website sales, fine art fairs across the country through regional and national ceramic exhibitions. Check out my shop on this website to see options available. If you want to place an order contact me and lets make it possible.
